Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst to transform data into clear, actionable insights that drive product and business decisions at [Company Name]. You will partner with stakeholders across the company to define metrics, build dashboards, conduct deep-dive analyses, and communicate findings that directly influence strategy. This role is ideal for someone who loves storytelling with data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in tools like Looker, Tableau, Metabase, or Power BI that stakeholders rely on daily
  • Partner with product managers, marketers, and business leaders to define KPIs, set targets, and measure progress

  • Document data definitions, metric logic, and analysis methodologies to build institutional knowledge
  • Collaborate with data engineers to improve data quality, request new data sources, and define transformation logic

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of data analyst experience in a product, marketing, or business analytics function
  • Advanced SQL proficiency including joins, subqueries, window functions, and CTEs
  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations in at least one BI tool (Looker, Tableau, Metabase, or Power BI)
  • Strong understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics (hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, regression basics)
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for quick ad-hoc analysis and stakeholder-friendly outputs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for non-technical audiences

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis or automation of data workflows
  • Familiarity with dbt for analytics engineering and data transformation
  • Understanding of product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap)
