BerlinRemote

About the Role

TidyDesk is hiring a Frontend Engineer to join its core product team. TidyDesk is an 80-person, bootstrapped B2B SaaS company that has been profitable since month four and serves facilities and workplace-management teams at companies with 200 to 10,000 employees.

This role is fully remote for candidates working within CEST ± 3 hours and is offered on a permanent contract. The engineer will join as the company’s third frontend engineer and will work on a mature Vue 3 and Pinia codebase following a migration from Vue 2 in late 2023.

The Frontend Engineer will partner closely with a product designer and a backend engineer to own feature areas, contribute to the evolution of the design system, and maintain and extend the company’s Storybook-based internal component library.

TidyDesk works asynchronously by default and values strong written communication. The team maintains two hours of daily overlap with the core team, with Berlin serving as the anchor location. The role also includes quarterly on-site time in Berlin, with flights and accommodation paid by the company. The company has a no-meetings-on-Wednesdays practice and takes it seriously.

The interview process includes a 25-minute recruiter chat, a 50-minute conversation with the tech lead, a choice between a two-hour live pairing session or a take-home exercise with a four-hour budget paid at €200, followed by a panel round with a product designer, backend peer, and hiring manager consisting of three 30-minute conversations. TidyDesk provides feedback at every stage and aims to respond to applicants within five business days.
